Enjoy the Andes in a mountain shelter equipped with all the necessary commodities: bathrooms, hot water showers, dining rooms, rooms for 2 to 6 people.  At the ski center, you can go hiking on the paths, snowshoeing, and rappelling. 

 ITINERARY

Day 1
Pick up from hotel at 9 am, transport to Lagunillas Ski Center in Cajon de Maipo (Metropolitan Region).

After the welcome, you will take part in hiking or snow activities (depending on the season).  Afternoon rappelling activity.

In the evening, you will enjoy an exquisite typical Andean barbecue.  At night, you will see the “Images of Chile” photography show, accompanied by fine wine.

Day 2
Hiking to Bayo and Alto las Tortolas Mounds, located 2,500 and 3,030 m above sea level respectively.  From these mounds, you will have a spectacular view of the Colorado and Maipo Canyons.  The walk will take a total of approximately 3 hours.

After lunch, we will return to Santiago, arriving after 16:00 hours.

Exploring the GLACIERS
"La Paloma"
3 days/2 night
The Paloma Glacier is located in the 39,000 ha Yerba Loca Nature Sanctuary.  This sanctuary possesses a special cultural reverence as evidence of human life from several millenniums ago is found in its valley and surrounding mountains.

Archaeological sites and objects from pre-Hispanic cultures have been found here. 
These cultures include the Chiquillanes, Picunches, and Incas.  We will walk to the end of the valley, observing the Andes along the way and finally reaching the beautiful La Paloma Glacier, a surprising ice formation 3,500 m high.

  ITINERARY

Day 1
– Pick up from hotel in Santiago at 8:30 hours, transport to Yerba Loca Nature Reserve at Curva No. 15, en route to Farellones (Metropolitan Region).  We will begin our walk at Villa Paulina.  After a light three-hour walk we will arrive at our campsite. 

Day 2– Hiking to La Paloma Glacier, stopping at the Casa de Piedra Carvajal to rest and admire the landscape.  The walk will take a total of 5 hours.

Day 3
– Rest, return to Santiago, and arrive at approximately 17:00 hours.

"El Morado National Monument "

The Cajon del Maipo is a pre- Andean ecotourism area where you can enjoy outdoor and adventure tourism activities.  Here is the protected El Morado National Monument Park, in which you can admire the San Francisco Glacier and an Andean lake 2,200 m above sea level. You can also refresh with mineral water that springs from the interior of the land.

 ITINERARY

Pickup from hotel in Santiago at 8:30 hours, transport to the El Morado Nature Monument in Cajon del Maipo (Metropolitan Region).  Hiking across the Ventisquero path, stopping at the Aguas Panimavidas sector (a spring water source).  Return to Santiago, arriving at approximately 19:00 hours

Duration: 1 hour
Distance: 2.8 km walk from Agua Panimavidas to El Morado Lagoon sector (2,200 m above sea level).

Duration:  45 minutes
Distance:  2.2 km walk from the lagoon to the base of San Francisco Glacier.

Duration:  30 minutes
Distance:  2 km walk

Total duration: 4 hours
Total distance:  14 km

Enjoy the Andes by visiting the Lagunillas Ski Center, located only 66 km from Santiago.  Here you can participate in different outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and rappelling.

We will go hiking on low-lying mountains to the Alto las Tortolas sector.  Along this two-hour walk, you can admire the mountain chain that surrounds the area.

 ITINERARY

Pick up from Santiago hotel at 9:00 hours, transport to Lagunillas Ski Center.  We will take a light walk in which you will have a panoramic view of the mountains that surround Santiago.

In the winter snow we will go snowshoeing, rest, and then go rappelling.  You will return to your hotel from 19:00 hours on.

DARWIN´S ROUTE
" La Campana National Park "

Scientist Charles Darwin travelled this area in 1834 marvelling the more than 320 plant species.  Located in the coastal mountain range, this park was declared a Biosphere World Reserve by UNESCO in 1985.  It’s divided in three big sectors, each with its own geographic qualities and distinct biodiversity - characteristic of the middle Chile.

 ITINERARY

Pickup from Santiago hotel at 8:30 am, transport to La Campana National Park (in Olmue, 5th region). 

Hiking in the impressive native forest, formed thanks to the zone’s microclimate.  Observation of flora representative of the park. 

At the end of the walk, enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding valley from the lookout point.

Arrive in Santiago from 19:00 hours on.

Day 1

Day 2 – SANTIAGO – TEMUCO – PUCON – Reception at Temuco airport, transport to hotel in Pucon.  Afternoon fishing boat excursion in the Trancura Alto River. 

Day 3
PUCON –Morning travel to the Liucura River, seeing the beautiful Araucaria region along the way.  Full day of fishing in the river.

Day 4– PUCON – Morning travel to Huife.  Relax in the famous Huife Hot Springs.  Afternoon free to explore Pucon.

Day 5 –PUCON – TEMUCO – SANTIAGO –
Transport from hotel to airport, depart for Santiago.  Reception at Santiago airport, transport to hotel.

 ITINERARY

Day 1
SANTIAGO – Airport reception, transport to hotel.

Day 2 SANTIAGO – PUERTO VARAS –Transport to airport, depart for Puerto Montt.  Reception at Puerto Montt airport, transport to hotel in Puerto Varas.

Day 3 – PUERTO VARAS – Trolling fishing in Lake Llanquihue (6 hours)
After breakfast go trolling fishing in a comfortable boat with one other person and your guide.   Here in the reed bed sector of the lake, you can catch rainbow trout, cojo salmon, and Atlantic salmon from 500 g to 3 kg.

Day 4– PUERTO VARAS –
Travel down the Petrohue River
After breakfast, travel along the beautiful Petrohue River in a boat apt for floating on rivers.  The Petrohue has fast green waters from Lake Todos los Santos. These waters later empty into the Reloncavi Estuary in Ralun.  In this river, you can catch brown and rainbow trout (500 g to 3 kg). 

Day 5 – PUERTO VARAS – Free day to participate in optional activities.

Day 6 – PUERTO VARAS – SANTIAGO –
Transport to airport, depart for Santiago.
