Conguillo National Park is located in the Andean mountain range area of the 9th region and between 700 and 2,500 m above sea level. It offers an impressive combination of nature: the Arco Iris, Verde and Conguillo Lagoons (the last one being at the foot of the Sierra Nevada), a mountain chain full of abundant native vegetation, the Coigue, Lenga, and Cipres Forests, and many araucaria trees. The park’s consists of the monito del monte (the world’s smallest marsupial), condor, hawks, and diverse aquatic birds that can be found in the lagoons. You can also visit the streams of lava from the Llaima Volcano (3,125 m above sea level). In order to better appreciate this paradise, you will be provided with a box lunch in the park.

Natuelbuta National Park is located in the 9th region (northeast of Temuco and toward the coastal mountain range) and has an area of 6,832 ha. This park has well outlined paths, such as the La Piedra De Aguila with its panoramic view of the mountains and the coast. In the Tuberas area of the park you can see bug eating vegetables. Atop Anay Hill you have a great view of the snowcapped mountains extending from Chillan to the Villarica Volcano. You will be provided with a box lunch to eat in the stunningly beautiful forest. Araucaria, roble, and coilhue are just some of the forests found in this national park. Among the birds found in the park are the churrin, chucao, and the black woodpecker (which is in threat of extinction).

IN THE HUIFE HOT SPRINGS |

At Huife, one of the best known hot springs of the region, you will be able to enjoy the thermal waters rich in minerals that come from the Fuego Del Pacifico mountain chain. The Huife springs are located 33 km east of Pucon at the edge of the Liucura River and are surrounded by beautiful vegetation. There are three outdoor pools and private baths. The water temperature fluctuates between 38º and 58º C. There is also a quaint restaurant with international food and a cafeteria.

IN THE GEOMETRICAS HOT SPRINGS |

On the way to the Geometricas Hot Springs, we will pass by the Lincanray Beach and the town of Conaripe, both at the edge of Lake Calafquen. These hot springs are located in majestic Villarica National Park, next to the Aihue brook. There are around 60 thermal sources that originate from the Aihue mountain stream at a temperature of 80º C. There are 16 separate thermal pools with temperatures between 35º C and 42º C, in addition to four cold-water pools. You will have time to enjoy these unique thermal baths.

EXCURSION TO PUCON AND THE VOLCANIC CAVES |
|
|
First we will visit the interesting volcanic caves (located 14.5 km from Pucon) on the way to Villarica Volcano. Here is a 200 m deep lava tunnel formed by one of the many Villarica volcanic eruptions. In addition to the tunnel, we will view a photography exposition of the six most emblematic eruptions and the seismographs and other instruments used to study volcanic activity. After visiting the caves, we will continue to Pucon, one of the south’s largest tourist centers. We will visit the sophisticated commercial streets of Fresia and O’Higgins. Here there are also cafés and restaurants with delicious gastronomy.

EXCURSION TO THE OJOS DE CABURGA REGION AND LAKE CABURGA |

Many rivers, mountains, and forests surround Pucon. You can go rafting or fishing in the Trancura and Liucura Rivers with their great views of the Villarica, Quetrupillan, and Lanin Volcanoes. At the Ojos del Caburga Volcano a beautiful ensemble of turquoise colored wells emerge from numerous cascades and the subterranean Lake Caburga river water. We will take a brief walk along the paths and then continue to Lake Caburga (7,700 sq hectares and 700 m high). This lake is surrounded by woodland hills and was formed by a lava plug and volcanic ash. The water is temperate due to the thermal sources at the bottom of the lake.
